"Mines" don't technically exist anymore, as it's just another layer of the game world. If you mine far enough out you should be able to find every single mineral.
There is no longer a separate map instance for any individual mine, is what he means. There are underground layers. Each layer is just rock to be mined out and once in awhile you'll hit a vein (node) of metal that can be mined. If you've prospected tin, that means you've found a vein of tin. If you dig away from that vein or in other places, then you may find other metals too.

as in cellar you can not mine nor build minehole, I would suppouse it is a different and independent map. Also it is being protected by personal/village claim kver the houses entrence, so That supports my thoughts. No fear here.

Wait... you guys are saying that if you just kept digging forever, you would have a World 5 inside world 4 o_O? Sort of reminds me of Dungeon Keeper, sending all of the little drones to dig everything up
