Can't pour wort into empty barrel?

I can't seem to figure out how to pour a bucket of wort into my barrel. Left clicking the bucket and right clickling the barrel doesn't seem to do anything.

The UI seems very inconsistant for things like this.

you're doing it the right way, is it possible that the barrel actually has something else in it? or perhaps you don't have the beermaking skill on that character somehow?

Empty barrel, and I have the beermaking skill.

I've tried lifting the barrel and putting it back down again (this seemed to fix a glitched loom I had) but that didn't seem to work either.

that's odd. the bucket is in your inventory? it's definitely left click the bucket in your inventory, right click the barrel. nothing is blocking you from reaching the barrel i assume.

It might be that you lack som weird skill requirement..... cheesemaking? Baking? Winemaking?

Cheesemaking and baking I have. Not winemaking, though. That would seem to make the the beermaking skill somewhat redundant, if one cannot actually make beer with it.

Very tangentially related, but when you make 5 lt of wort with one bucket at hand already containing 5 lt wort, they don't get combined (I believe you lose the ingredients) into 10 lt in one bucket. If you have two buckets, one with 5 lt and one with 0, the empty one gets filled with 5.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yup, tea, wort, and rennet all have this bug. It's because the game takes your bucket and replaces it with a bucket of wort, regardless of what was in the bucket before.
