Does declaiming land declaim ALL of the claimed land at once? Or do you declaim part by part?

Dunno. I thought you could declaim by the opposite of how you claim. Like, press south, and the southern parts recede by 1 line.

I wish it were possible that way actually, but I'm just imagining the various exploits that people would come up with with that system.

As it stands now, if you're going to declaim your land then it's usually good to have the materials handy to make another stake so that you don't get griefed into losing your claim entirely.

You might be looking for the "Reset" button in the Claim UI which makes it a 5x5 0 LP claim again.

No. Reset just resets it to the already claimed state when you make a mistake in expanding you claim.
