WTB: Formulas

Postby wolf1000wolf » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:24 pm

So... anyone knows the formula for Q of a steel crucible? 10 bricks and 1 cast. No clue if its the (average of bricks + cast)/2 or its just average of all components.

I realize some ppl like to hoard information so... if you're so inclined, PM me with a price. I don't mind paying for information. ;)

Just realise that if I'm asking for this information, I'm likely not wealthy so can't pay you much. :D

Thanks~

Ps- Also interested in the steel-making formulas. I can't seem to figure out a consistent formula for steel Q... that may result from me not knowing what Q my dang crucibles are too.

q crucible is i'm told, (brick + cast)/2

as for actual steel, it will not go over the quality of the wrought iron input. crucibles, component coal, and fuel (yes fuel matters!) serve as the cap for it.

accepting payment in the form of pumpkin pie, deer dogs, piros, BBC, silk, or pearls, kthx :D

Pretty sure fuel doesn't "cap" steel q. At least not a hardcap. In one of my experiments, I made q18 steel from q18 wrought with q10 fuel.

I'm trying to find out the formula... not give away data that is inconclusive. :P

But if it helps one test revealed this:

Q30? crucible, q30 coal, q25 wrought, q10 fuel => q24 steel
Q30? crucible, q30 coal, q18 wrought, q10 fuel -> q18 steel
