there is a bear in my garden

we had a close encounter, obviously as a three day old hearthling i tried to run away, but the beast was much faster. luckily it did not kill me, i just fell unconscious after one or two hits and it lost interest. after that i was able to travel to the safety of my hearth fire. now the bear is stomping on my precious peas and carrots and i don't even know unarmed combat (not that it would make much difference).

anyway, how do i get rid of him?
shall i just wait and it will go away eventually?
is bear dung good for plant growth?

Leave the area, log off, or wait in your home for 5-15 minutes. The bear will despawn and you may go about your business again. A roundpole fence will keep bears out in the future =)
