UAC is needed to fight PvP with Melée?

Well, I have read in the wiki that manoeuvers involved the UAC stats ("Delta variable"), even if combat is Melée vs Melée (except if both have Shield Manoeuver).

That mean if I have 100 Melée and 0 UAC, I have nothing to do vs any 100 UAC fighter (or even less). Any moves I perform will totally recharge her attack bar if he use Blood Lust, or +10 IP if Death or Glory, or a very huge cooldown reduction if Combat Meditation...

I'm right or not? If yes, how many UAC stats I need to fight with Melée?

If you are using a sword and shield a good way to go is 2:1 melee:ua

So if you have 200 melee you should have 100 ua. This seems to work fairly well for people.

No. Is because "delta variable", I think. If you have zero UAC (or much less UAC than your enemy), each time you use a Move, your enemy can obtain more profit than you.

I actually understand the OP very well and your reasoning in there is pretty much correct. What barracuda tells you is more of a suggestion than a general rule. I actually would advice people to go full ua or keep the two fighting styles at equal levels. Since most of us don't have time to grind 2 skills to a good level though it might be better to invest all lp into the superior of the two. You will be at an advantage to any mixed class fighter then as long as you know what you are doing.
