Just do whatever you need to to build up your personal area. Build a house, fence, kiln, crates, cupboards, etc. Whatever you think you need now, or may need later.

Find clay, grind teapots. Try hunting or Farming. The best way is not to "Grind" it's to actually play the game. You'll find you actually still have a lot to do. Build some cupboards or make paving art (Pave pictures and such into the land). - Just go to a random Grassfield and do it so you don't have to plow before placing stone :)

Good luck.
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

If you can forage or fish, they would likely be your best bets since you likely don't have seeds yet and can't hunt animals. You've probably been distributing your lp to skill points rather than buying new skills, so you're going to have to make the most of whatever you've bought if you want to save up for yeomanry. Worst comes to worst just deforest a little bit and save up the logs for your palisade, since you're going to need that.

these are all out of date since the LP system changed. Right now the quickest way is to discover as many new items as you can (everything off all teh different types of trees, blocks, boards, bones, stone, etc) then go and raid ant hills. You can do this early on by raiding the ant hill, running a few screens away and waiting for teh ants to follow, then running back to the ant hill and raiding it. If you find a boat, you can do this easier by raiding ant hills nearby the river, board you boat, go away from shore, wait for the ants to hit the water then go and raid their hill.

Study the stuff you get from the ant hills(ant soldiers, ant queens, ant empresses) and you will get to 4k LP quickly, also craft cone cows and keep one on constantly.

Sending a request to have this moved to an inactive board because it has no relevant information anymore.

You are thanking someone over a month later while in the meantime a completely new LP system has been implemented? Nice.
