white overgrown areas are for what?

im relocating my alt and im wondering what the white overgrown areas that you cant dig at are there is alot of large vines n foliage n such .is their anything special with this area or is it just a pain in the but area for clearing.

if you would like to annoy future raiders picking the middle of the thickets is a good spot
