Bow damage

The wiki states: "To find the damage of any given bow, use the following formula: 75*sqrt(q/10) were q is the quality of the bow."
Also, the base damage of the bow is 110.

So, what is base damage/ when does it occur? I would assume base damage occurs at Q10, but the formula says 75 damage occurs at Q10.

So I'm asking how to determine a bow's damage based off it's Quality.

Base = 110 Damage
sqrt(quality/10) = Modifier
So q10 = x1, q40 = x2, q90 = x3, etc.

How can I tell if I've hurt something with a bow?? There is a boar in a town of myself and 6 other noobs. It is running around beating people up and jabbing people with its tusks!! We keep shooting at it and sometimes it runs away but that is a trick!! It destroyed our only well and we want to at least know if it has been injured at all!!

If it actually flees, then attacks you again, someone's doing something wrong.

You can tell if red numbers appear above its ahead and you hear a slamming sound rather than an air swooping sound when you fire. If you're just rapid firing at the pig rather than aiming, you're probably all just missing and doing 0 damage.
