Stone Quality

Just wondering what the best locations were for higher q stone, and if there was any way to tell the quality besides taking a stone from every single rock you come across, as this become rather tedious.

Naturally found stone is Q 10. Higher q stone comes from mining/smelting.

Only mountains, caves, and mines have stone quality nodes. Boulders and large rocks always give q10 stone.

So you have to walk around digging on a mountain? I've been trying that for ages, I tried climbing higher, I tried all over the place and all I found was q10.

Your best bet is caves, otherwise yes, just like all the other nodes out there you need to keep testing areas by chipping away until you find a decent node.
