To make a pickaxe I need ore, which I mine to get.
Whenver I try to mine, I run out of stamina JUST before I finish the block I'm on...from full of course.

What can I do? :I

Mine somewhere else, get more strength, get a higher quality stone axe.

Also, from my experience while it seems like you're running out of stamina just as you're about to finish, you actually do finish, and it tells you "you're too tired to mine" before you start your next attempt, if you won't have the stamina to finish it.

You did finish mining, however your mining didn't yield anything.

You'll never run out of stamina in the middle of mining a tile.
