Fishing troubles

Postby Ignus » Sun Feb 27, 2011 10:13 pm

I'm quite new and still figuring things out. I've started a little homestead, built some stuff, got attacked by ants, the usual. I finally manage to build a fishing rod (string, woodfish lure and bone hook inclusive) and I haven't managed to catch a damn thing in this river I live on. Am I doing something wrong? Or just unlucky?

I'd like to know because I'm on the verge of starvation, which doesn't sound the most noble of ways to die ;)

Thanks

Fish aren't located everywhere. Travel up and down the river for a bit and look for fish jumping out of the water.

Maybe the fish in your river don't like woodfish :(

Try digging for worms (Adventure - Dig), you can ctrl-click to drop the soil without stopping digging. I've been catching a lot of pike (two bits of fish for one worm! yay!) with worms, and not a lot of anything with a (Q17) woodfish.

what he said. with some lures it might take longer, but its possible to get fish
but not fishing on a fishing-spot wont you get anything (so the other way round: fish where the fishes are)

Ok, thanks for the replies gentlemen. Do the fishing spots move, or are they set?
