Why are my chickens died?

They were in a chicken coop with a full indicator of food (beetroot leaves), but a day later I found them dead. What am I doing wrong?

What's their quality? If it's considerably less than they should have been, then they somehow starved. If their qualities look normal, then yes someone murdered them.

feels bad man. Some random guy found my unprotected chicken coop and he emptied all food (there was like 5 blueberries lol) and took away all chickens without trace. Well i knew that it will happen someday but not the other day. and after that he carved in my runestone "fuck you" in all caps... i must say, very rich language he used.
But that was 2nd chicken coop so not much were lost.
