How long can a steel crucible last with out refueling? 12 hours right?

I'm pretty sure the crucible quality itself is just the average of the bricks. What is probably confusing you is that the quality if the crucible will not raise the quality of the wrought->steel you put into it. The q of the crucible and the fuel can only bring down the q of the metal if it's lower, but it will stay the same if it's higher.
