Starting the game

Postby Lordcrusher » Sun Aug 23, 2009 9:51 pm

Wasn't sure where to put this but when i click on play and download the thing i can't open the game properly. Once i open the file in firefox it takes me to a screen that says "Seatribe The Haven game" and in IE takes me to a screen with java code on. Any ideas with what i'm doing wrong?

I have absolutely no idea what the condition you describe would really be, but try running the following command in a command prompt:
Code: Select all
javaws http://www.havenandhearth.com/java/haven.jnlp

As long as you've got Java installed, that should work regardlessly of any browser settings.

You have to open it with the Java Web Start program. It seems that the extension is not connected with it. Maybe it helps when you select it with "open with". I don't use Windows anymore, so I'm not sure how to connect a file-extension with a program.

In case you want to fix the extensions you might want to reinstall java.
