Soil Q and Crop Q

Postby Rindelas » Thu Mar 03, 2011 10:27 pm

I love the spot I'm in, I'm in a perfect place in the middle of a grasslands, and I have my crops right where I want them. However I recently checked the soil q and it's around 14.. Is this just TERRIBLE and should I move my crops somewhere else, or is it acceptable? Will it matter that much on how high the q of my crops will be?

You can grow good crops on bad soil if you buy seeds from someone who's got good soil for crop q raising. The quality of your fields will stagnate, of course.

Yeah, very. You'll gain stats twice as fast with q40 food than you would with q10, for example.

The quality of ingredients determines FEPs, so sort of. Better food gives you more FEP for less filling.

What about finding high q WWW's? Will they create crop seeds that will remain high in low q soil?

I thought it was shown that as long as you only replant good q crops that the quality will increase no matter what? Though it doesn't make mathematical sense (3 seeds 2 in 7 chance to go up) I think it has been observed. This means that soil q helps you get to 100q crops but once you are there it doesn't matter.
