Can't harvest crops

Had a friend claim the farm since I had claim on another plot. Only problem is I can't harvest anything on the claim. What does he need to turn on so everyone else can harvest?

He needs to give you permission to vandalize his property, invite you to his party, or you need to use criminal acts with vandalism. It should go without saying that you need Farming before you can harvest his crops.
