hearth fires in a villagers house? desroyable?

well, basically, i need these hearthfires removed, as the villagers appear to have quit. any way to destroy them? i just get " that is not your hearth fire " all the time

It must be on your personal claim. If it is not you need vandalism and to turn on criminal acts to destroy it.
