A little palisade help.

When I'm finishing up my palisade, do I place the cornerpost at A or B?
When I tried to start my initial at A it wouldn't let me, so I had to start it somewhere else.

I'm sorry bro, but you can't get a proper seal that way. That last tile can't be built upon, but people can walk over it. You'll have to either build a wall parallel to the cliff and go around it till you get a good anchor point. Check with construction signs if you can get a proper seal in a particular spot.

Oh, and you don't have to finish off with a cornerpost, wall segment works just fine.

Well poop. I tried to use the ledge because I figured it would save me a little wood.
It's a good thing I left a little space between my houses and the ledge. Thanks.

One solution that's often ignored is to build another palisade cornerpost unhooked from the grid directly behind your wall where the gap would be to prevent anyone from walking over it. It's a little intrusive and not as pretty but saves a lot of time and space over expanding your wall all the way around. To unhook buildings from the grid, hold Shift while placing them.

I don't see how that would work.
I tried placing the initial cornerpost by holding shift, and placing it slightly between the edge and point A* and it wouldn't let me.
Also, wouldn't that take a buttload of resources again?

EDIT: Eh, or rather Point A and B, I mean.

You only need to push it a few pixels over to block entrance and that's all it will let you push it over.
Yes, that would mean building another cornerpost - as opposed to surrounding the entire cliffside with palisade walls. Whichever you consider more convenient and cheaper is the better option.
