Multi food FEP formula

Postby Sevenless » Mon Mar 07, 2011 11:55 pm

Noticed the wiki is missing the formula, wondered if anyone had it here.

Reason why I ask. I have 11 agil and 15 dex. The total requirement is 12.6, not 13.0 like the average of 11 and 15 is. I've tested it and the formula does not depend on the ratio of food eaten.

It's not based on the average.

It starts out requiring FEP equal to your highest stat, but every time you eat a different type of food the requirement lowers.

Oh, I didn't realize it meant "different type" as in chanterelles vs chicken meat. The wiki seems to believe that you need to eat different ability FEPs to get the bonus.

Oh? Can you link the page that you're seeing that? I'm getting tired of people being misinformed about that and I was wondering where they were hearing it.

Thanks for the info I have been loading up on the same foods, I did not realize this I thought it was the average of all stats.

While we are on the subject has it been spaded out how much you get for each type of food? And I also noticed wine affecting (effecting? I forget which) FEP requirements is this true and does it scale with quality?

If you're asking about a table of FEPs, you can find one in the wiki here: http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/FEP_Table

Not sure about the wine. I've just been sucking it down for the strength buff. (Drunken mining FTW!!!) It does fill the hunger bar, so guess I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

1. Yes. Here's the chart.
2. I dont' think so. I think you're thinking of beer, but I can't remember.

You both misunderstand me. I apologize for not having an example.

Lets say I need 40 FEP to gain a level. Lets also say that all things I eat are exactly quality 10. Then I eat 1 of each of the following:
Ant Soldier (1 STR)
Roasted Boar Meat (2.4 STR, but I'm gonna say 2.5)
Roasted Bear Meat (3.5 STR)
Big Bear Banger (10 STR)
Piglet Wursts (3 STR)

I should be only 1/2 of the way through my FEP bar but by this time I'll have noticed that the original 40 will have dropped and it will drop for each new food I eat. I've also noticed this phenomenon happening when I drink wine. I was wonder if it had been spaded the amount it drops for each food and if the quality of wine effects how much it effects the required FEP.

Eat new item of food, meaning completely different than what you've already eaten, will drop the bar by 1 point. Promotes a varied diet.
