What about a stone axe? It states on the wiki that a Pickaxe doesn't help, so it seems to elude to other weapons helping.

This, of course, begs the question:

How much does it help when pali-bashing? I recall reading the values for this for a stone axe and pick axe, but never seen a sledgehammer mentioned.

You would still need 441 (Something like that) str to take down a palisade with a sledgehammer.

Soak on a Palisade is 25, right? So that would be 484 so you could do 26 per hit? (durr... it's right there on the wiki :p What i get for asking before I look! There's my blonde moment for the day.)

Yep. and it has 2500 HP. So you'd be doing one damage. It'd take forever, but you'd get it eventually.
