You gain LP. You're looking to make a village or to destroy (raid) other villages.

Villages take noobs all the time as long as they know how not to annoy everyone and are active. If you're looking to join a village go to Dwarves & Thieves and PM one of the topic authors. If what you want is to raid other villages, you either need to train a lot or to join a village willing to take you for that purpose.
