Personal Claims in a mine

Okay, i know i'm probably being an idiot here and am doing something wrong but i cant set up a claim inside of a mine.

Is it not possible to create a personal claim inside of a mine or does it need to be in a specific location or a set distance away from the ladder etc?

Building
It should now be possible to build essentially anything in both caves and mines. A couple of restrictions apply:
Caves: You can only build on paved ground. Tiles cannot be paved if there are (black) nil-tiles or water tiles anywhere within a 5x5 area around the tile you are trying to pave.
Mines: An area 6x6 tiles in size surrounds the mine ladder entrance. No constructions can be built on these tiles.

This needs to go in the wiki somewhere. Mining a good spot? Stoneworking since it has to do with the Lay Stone command? Does Lay Stone/Paving just need it's own wiki page now?

How exactly do you build a personal claim? Away from the 6x6 tile its not possible, aswell on the 6x6. I cant pave the floor, nor lay stone. Even plant grass ->plow>->lay stone is not possible. The message is always "You cannot build that here". And after plow field (with hands) the little standclock appears, but the floor doesnt change and lay stone doesnt work on that tile.

Hmm does there need to be a certain space around the claim you are placing as well? I still get the "you cannot place that here" message, even when im 12 tiles away from the ladder and atleast 6 space in all directions from any walls or anything.

you can't put one on mined tiles. i don't know if it's a feature or a bug.

Doesnt anyone know the trick how to claim a mine? It works, since ive seen the border of a personal underground claim. But HOW?

Dig out all the tiles around the edge of the minehole and drop one on the edge of the original minehole entrance. If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you.
