Cupboards

A lot of people (including myself) are having trouble figuring out how to build cupboards. I have all of the obvious necessary skills (carpentry) and materials (as many boards as I can carry), but there's still no option to build one under containers, furniture, etc. Could one of the devs tell us the requirements? Or if someone has it unlocked, could you list skills and things you built before it? I have also already built a crate and a timber house... Any help would be appreciated.
