I heard that clearing stumps givs you them but I only get logs.

You need a saw.

Make one out of bone and a branch.
Find a log or cut down a tree, click on it with the saw equipped and it'll give you the choice of boards or blocks of wood.

No, clearing stumps only gives you wood blocks.
You can get boards by felling a tree and sawing the logs into boards. Of course with an axe you can make also blocks out of the log.

Odd. I'm trying to saw a felled log with the Bone Saw I have (It is equipped), but I don't have the option to Saw Boards from it. I think I may have found a Bug, but anyone have any idea?
