Client Pathing

Postby Jackwolf » Mon Mar 14, 2011 6:32 am

My friend has downloaded the Ender's client (The fixed one) and his computer didn't automatically set up the java pathing for it. I was lucky enough that it did, so I'm at a loss as to how to help him.

How exactly, completely and absolutely, step by step does one get Enders client working from step 1 being pathing not working.

Need more info.

Post the entire error he's getting.

Which version he's trying to use.
Which Operating System he's using.
Which ver of Java he has and whether it is 32bit or 64bit.

Ender's. Error "cannot find javaw" or such. Windows 7. Java "Jre6", 64 bit computer.

Edit, and he just downloaded Java from the Java website, so I don't think Java is outdated.

So you need to edit the path towards where Java points.

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw" - for 32bit windows

and

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw" - 64 bit

or something like that. It's as simple as browsing to the location of where you find the javaw file and copying and pasting the file path.

Good luck.
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

Hm.. That does help a bit, but he's asking where in the sequence does it need to be?

My run.bat only has 1 line it, so I suggested removing what was there and trying it like that. Didn't work. If you happen to run 64bit do you think you could C/P whatever is in your run.bat?

Sorry I don't have time to reply to this. If you don't have it fixed by the time I get back I will help.

But, there is a number of replies in the original Gilbertus client thread that has this problem answered.

Scan through it and you'll find it.

Bump

Edit; also he wanted me to say that anyone who thinks they can help solve this problem can just PM me for his Skype information. He's a very angry person, and the lack of my knowledge of how to solve this is infuriating him <<;;;

Your friend sounds like an arsehole. getting angry at you because you can't help him fix his problem...my care factor to help has suddenly disappeared.

Your friend does sound like an ass since you're here posting for him and helping him.

He should come and post here himself. Also, I'll need the complete error that he's getting to assist him. Exactly as he gets it. Give him a link to this thread and I'll help him.
