Ya that's been happening to me too, I think it means the area has a possibility of fish but doesn't actually have any fish left; like when you dig in an acre clay field and get nothing.

As far as I know: yes. I just keep going around the fish area like I do with a clay field, till I either get fish or don't. Then I move on. Once you hit a nice spot with lots of fish, it's not so bad.. but ya it's really painful because right about now 90% of the players are farming fish probably, and now fishing spots empty faster..

*shrugs* raise constitution, get rage, and start swimming into fisher's boats and beating them to death?

According to the devs in the W5 update, fish nodes dry out much faster. They also regrow faster but dedicated fishers will use up lots of spots.

There's a bug with the fishing nodes. They haven't been despawning when depleted. Just try the next node and hope it has fish. (I'm making the assumption that the fish nodes SHOULD despawn when depleted like picking foragables.) Casting into empty water will just get you nothing for your time.

Why swim when you can do the same thing from a boat? Better yet, don't bother with the rage and just destroy their boat.

I have yet to catch any kind of fish in W5 with any kind of a lure. However I have had good luck using bait.

I think i was lucky on this one, i tryed fishing for the sake of it in a shallow lake, catched all the fish type my first try but eel, i even got some plaice a fish i looked for days and nights with all kind of lures/worms or whatever at any kind of moon during w4 and never was able to fish one.
I fished more about 2 crate and a backpack from a single node and i'm sure i could fish more from it if wanted.

In w5 fishing was useless to me; now everybody is runing around with fishing pole. So i'm kind of surprised by the post.
