Bark Boat

How do I make a bark boat? I have both boatbuilding and fishing. In my inventory I have a stick, a piece of oak tree bark, a piece of spindly taproot and a piece of birch bark. The crafting menu is easily accessible but when I click craft it says, "You do not have all the ingredients." My friend was able to make one using taproot. I also tried using nettles.

What am I doing wrong???!

Being unable to build one myself I can't check whats wrong but are you sure you have ENOUGH materials? Maybe it requires 2 bark? or 2 strings? Or whatever, the point is that you do not have enough ingredients. Maybe there is a small bug in the number display and you need extra amounts of the ingridients listed, try getting double of everything.

Thanks. Using two of each worked. It took both the birch barks and left the other sort of bark. And I vaguely remember hearing something about the barkboat taking the wrong sort of bark, so I think it's a known bug.

Next time pick up the non-birch tree bark with a click, then put it back in your inventory. That'll fix the bug that makes it not count the normal tree bark.

Oh, and FYI you get no lp for making the bark boat, even if it is your first ever.

Probably because jorb said that objects that are not able to be reprocessed further into something else most likely won't give you LP. But is the boat a curio? In which case you will get lp from it anyway.

Use birch bark.

The boat gives a base of 500lb per 3 hours at q10 I believe. It's a nice little chunk of xp. Interesting note if that helps fix the bug, I hate hauling bark from the forest to make boats for my group XD
