Curiosity LP Gains - An Objective Ranking

Postby ItsFunToLose » Tue Mar 15, 2011 8:41 am

with the server being down...

I noticed the wiki is lacking some crucial calculations regarding "LP per hour per attention slot"

Just because the wishbone has a base 1500 LP value does not make it good. its actually the worst item i've computed so far ( I am not going to compute cats gold, because its by far the most useless piece of shit)

so without further ado:

LP/hour/att

wishbone: 45
toy charriot: 50
primitive doll: 56.25
Itsy Bitsy Web: 82.5
ladybug : 120
Barkboat: 120
lady's mantle: 256.5

Dandelion: 270
cone cow: 540*
Ant SOliders: 540
Ant Queen: 450

Ant EMpress: 1400

LP per hour

wishbone: 225
toy charriot: 150
primitive doll: 225
ladybug : 360
Barkboat: 600
lady's mantle: 256.5
Dandelion: 270
cone cow: 540
Itsy Bitsy Web: 825
Ant SOliders: 1080
Ant Queen: 1350
Ant EMpress: 8400

these values were calculated using the base LP from the wiki, multiplied by 3.6 (360% learning ability), then divided by hours and again by the number of attention slots required. example : Ant Empress: 7000 Base LP value, x 3.6 = 25200 divide by 3 hours, divide again by 6 attention slots = 1400 LP/hour/slot

some unexpected results: ant soldier is better than ant queen in terms of LP per hour per slot. cow cone is retardedly good(although its going to be a while before we get higher than Q10, which skews its worth a little. I'm finding Q20+ dandelions, making them worth ~1.4 times the stated value in the table. even still, not as good as a Q10 cow cone.

I'd love to hear any feedback or criticisms with this method of ranking the curiosities.

TL;DR use this table to determine which curiosity to use if you don't have enough slots to hold everything you find.

The values are dynamic not static because quality affects the LP gain.

This does make the math a little messy, but its mostly to give you a rough idea of what order they belong in if your qualities are the same.

basically, until you are plucking Q40 dandelions, cone cows are going to be better LP for that one slot. Obviously, we'd want to have everything going all at once, but sometimes we don't have enough space.

and don't base them off 360% LP, not everyone uses it. Even though they would be best off.

sorry, was crunching the math for personal use, and just decided to post it as is.

another thing I haven't factored in, is if you have 3 empty slots, a 3 slot ant queen is the obvious choice over a 2 slot ant solider, but this table does not make that exactly clear.

While it appears useful at first glance the table isn't quite as useful as it seems. I mean its great for general rankings but without knowing how big everything is and how abundant and so on its just more numbers that are of limited use except in very specific circumstances.

I still think Lp/hour is a better measure. Even so, thanks for the effort. Maybe I am missing how useful this could be at a later stage. Stats are always fun :?

I added a second table with LP/hour info which, I agree, is the more useful number when determining which curiosities to use.

Itsy Bitsy Web. 5500 x 3.6 = 19800 / 24 hours = 825 / 10 ATT = 82.5 . I have 30ish INT so I had one there laying until I put a boar tusk.

Also; pretty nice table ^^
