Custom Clients not working on macs

Postby SeventhSandwich » Tue Mar 15, 2011 10:59 am

I'm having problems running custom clients on my mac computer.

I'm trying the clients here:
http://odditown.taggedup.com/forums/ind ... &board=1.0

And none of them seem to launch for mac, and I have no clue to do with the source code and it seems it wouldn't work anyway because it contains bat files which do NOT work on OS X.

What do I do?

Buy a PC.

(oh god I have waited my whole life to say that and throw it in the face of the annoying people who always tell me to buy a mac)

I didn't ask for advice on what to buy.

I'm planning on building a computer soon with parts from newegg but that isn't going to happen tomorrow.

Thanks for being totally unhelpful.

God you're stupid.

I'm asking what I can do to make the client run on a mac, not what computer I should buy.

Can I have some legitimate advice now please?

Alright fine.

Do you know anything on the subject of making the custom clients work on Mac OS X?

You know I genuinely feel bad that I can't help you. I'm in such a good mood today and feel like helping people play this game. But since I don't know anything about macs I really can't help you. Although there was a thread somewhere that dealt with running the clients in a mac I don't think it works (yet) for the newly updated stuff. Check the gilbertus thread in Critique and ideas, could be somewhere in the opening post.

But seriously, you should buy a PC. :D

I'm planning on building one. Which is the smarter idea.

Thanks, I'll go look there.
