it seems a lot harder to find fish now, been wandering along river routes for a while and i found what i assume is the ocean. is there a chance for fish to be waaay out there in the middle of the ocean, or is it mostly rivers? and do certain fishies come out only at night?

No I don't think you will find in the middle of the ocean, just go near the seashore and explore a bit. I've found today 2 spots near the seashore in the deep water, I fished 2 (something) and then they "run out" of fishes.

There wasn't any "Oceans" in w4, so I'm unsure of there actually being one in this world.

It's likely just a large lake.

No, there's no oceans, though there's some pretty large lakes around.

Yes, it is possible for there to be fish out in the middle of the lake requiring you to fish from a boat. There are some fish that are only likely to be caught in the middle of lakes.

The exact feeding habits of some species of fish are hard to predict. Some prefer to feed at night, some during the day, some only during certain phases of the moon, and even some will only bite certain baits.

In our area of the world, there is an inland sea. It's about 5 times the size of any lake in world 4. Takes about 4 minutes to boat across it.

This could be total awesome or total crap depending on some things. I'll look forward to seeing it on the map.

It's pretty cool, there are actually shallows out in the middle of it, so you can get out of you boat and fish from em. :P

A lot of people are fishing now. But the best is trying to fish at night and use leech, not bait, but its quiet a work to be honest to gather and store the leech... might woorth it now tought.
