How do you find one another?

I heard about this game from Reddit and have wondered how exactly do you find one another? Is it just a hit or miss thing? Or is the spawn the same? Landmarks? Sorry if this is somewhere in the forums, my quick search didn't reveal anything.

If your just starting, you'll have to talk to the guy in the top left part of the room, and enter your friends hearth secret. (He sets hearth secret by going to the heart in the bottom middle of his screen). You'll than spawn at your friends hearthfire. GL

If you mean friends, what that guy said about hearth secrets. If you mean just random other players, it's mostly a matter of being in the right place at the right time and bumping into someone, or creeping from the other side of their fence.

Once you start having things to steal, you'll realize how many people wander by all the time. Because your things start disappearing until you get a claim up.

Or because you picked up some thread and when you went back to your boat it was gone.

Its even more fun when u get ranging and wake up in the morning to 300 scents on ur claim cause someone stole ur clay =p.

No landmarks, entirely random spawn. Welcome to Haven and Hearth. Neighbors and strangers are both a blessing and a nightmare -- often a nightmare, honestly. If you wander around a little bit, you'll find people. Lots of us meet through the forum too. Using river networks you can usually see signs of other players if not the other players themselves.
