Okay, before i go wasting my precious lp, i'd like to know, that if, in order to make the rustroot extract i'll be needing to find the rustroot on my own? or will it be suffice just to have it on my inventory? Since im not the explorer on my village, maybe i shouldn't save for prospecting and leave that for my explorer?

Actual actions aren't limited by the "have see ingredients first". You buy the fishing skill, it gives you the fish option before you've seen a fishing rod. Even if it were required, all you'd need to see was the extract itself.
