Just came back to the game after a long break. Neat changes, excited to begin. I have a spindly taproot and 2 branches in my inventory, and i know Hearth magic, so why can't I build a dreamcatcher?

Try collect different roots and branches. Sometimes the game doesn't recognize that you have the stuff in your inventory.

It applies to everything from the looks of it. So with leather, unless you pull it out of the tub yourself, you won't unlock the anything that requires leather to make. If you don't pull a dried rabbit fur off the frame yourself you won't unlock bunny slippers

That system is really terrible. It completely discourages trade and separation of labor.

If I acquire a spindly taproot, either from harvesting, or from trade, or from theft, I should be able to figure out how to use it..
