Water node question

Postby M13tz » Thu Mar 17, 2011 4:31 pm

Hi

I found a water node on shallow water, from wiki its seems there should be a similar node in the land but all wells close to the water node on shallow is ~q13-18 and node is q38. So is it possible that water node is in shallows and in land cant find well with same/better q ?

Are you on a river? It might be on the other side, if so...

It depends. It's possible the node pushes inland and it's possible that it doesn't. Collect water at a central point between the water source and the land then collect water closer to the land and further. If the quality is higher the closer to the land it gets, the node goes in-land and you can use wells to find the node. If it goes higher away from land, then it's not in-land. If the quality doesn't change, then you're not going far enough apart.

Well i spotted highest q water in shallows there is no higher q on the otherr side of river nor further top or down. Then i build 8 wells on EVERY spot possible on both sides of river (there is more spots but they are deeper inland and don't see how they can connect to node)

its something like

--------------------

-------X38-----------

W12 W13 W16 W12

where x is water node on shallows and w is well

Well this isnt uncommon, since quality layer of water can be anywhere regardless of water or land so more often than not, the Priem Q spot of water may be inland.

Only way is to test with wells and try your luck, as you cant build wells anywhere. Maybe times in W3 I've found water with Q spot inland with no well in sight. :(
