Gates on coastlines

Postby LimaZulu » Thu Mar 17, 2011 7:00 pm

Say I have two cornerposts like such

CxxC
cccc

and the little c's are water. Can I build a palisade gate there, or do I have to have it a space back so it can open?

Move it a space back or you won't be able to tile infront of the gate to build it.

Try paving it first before u build, you can usually pave the spot that land touches water. If you can pave that "cccc" area then yes u can build the gate where you want it, if you cant, then you have to move your gate, and wall, back 1 tile.

Hope this helps. (BTW You need to pave both the front and back of the gate to build it.)

S'what I figured. Thought about it partway through building the first post, but thankfully hadn't wasted anything but a few blocks of wood.
