Have they changed the mechanics, so that now its the one who sets the claim build sign that gets the claim, and not the one who actually does the buildign, as before?

No. Whoever builds it, regardless of who set the sign, is the owner of the claim.

No, I think they changed it. I was going to alt-claim a cave entrance last night, but the claim fell to the character with Yeomanry even though the alt built the sign.

Anyone else confirm this? I want my brother to be able to set up a claim without having to piss LPs into yeo.

That's not the intended mechanic. If they did in fact fix this, then good. You're abusing a glitch in order to advance without work.

Answer it yourself. It should be piss easy to check. I'm not declaiming my plot just to check if you can abuse the system.

So much rage over a fixed bug... sheesh.

Besides, extra alts with available claims is always a good thing if you ask me. Find a high quality well? Claim it!! Find a high quality clay node a few minimaps over? Claim it! With LP being tied to study time, it's even easier to have spare alts laying around with a enough LP for a decent sized claim.
