Mining for Idiots

As topic says I need a mining tutorial for idiots like how not to make a cave the least str I need to mine the shittiest thing and those stuff. If anyone can help me I would be thankfull!

While we are on the topic, when mining, can i get ore from a single "hour-glass" or do i have to mine out the entire tile? I seem to only be getting rock so far

Just periodically check the walls in a cave. Each cave usually intersects several ore veins.

There's no "least str". You can mine some sections of the wall with 10 str and a q5 stone axe, others will take 200 str and a q70 tool (or more). Just get your strength and the quality of your tool as high as you can manage.

My problem is that even with 100% stamina, i try to mine a wall, and the stamina runs out before the hourglass, and i get no result, just a message telling me im to tired to mine. does this mean i still have to little strenght?

In an hour glass you dig once, so or you drop stone, ore, or nothing depending. The thing is you are at the limit to be able to mine in that spot, so you need a full stam to a single attempt. You can get more strenght, better quality or better tool, or try to find softer rock to mine in. But when you get better you'll be able to have many hour glass (so many attempts) before you run out of stam.
