What happened to my Kiln

Postby Scilly_guy » Sun Mar 20, 2011 2:24 pm

I had built a kiln, not that great quality, but enough for now, had fired my first bricks and was leaving them in their until I wanted to start my oven, I just noticed that my kiln has gone, along with everything inside. Was this because a Bear or Boar had tried to attack me and had destroyed it? I don't mind because I have found better clay now but I want to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I may have griefed you out of rage if you claimed an entire mudflat that I was speculating at. The whole damn mudflat.

Nope, I live far from mudflats or any really decent clay, it was on paved ground, had only been used once and completely on my claim, I've not had anything go missing, touch wood.

Ok so I just built 3 new drying frames, on paved ground, in a line, such that the middle one is almost touching the other two. It hasn't been 30 minutes and the middle rack has started decaying. Is this a feature or a bug?

Feature. Decay ticks are random -- anywhere from a few seconds to a few months.

Ok, thats fine, so long as its not going to suddenly decay twice if I fill it with seeds or hides.

As for the kiln, any ideas?

Kilns have multiple hit points and I've neither seen nor heard of an item simultaneously being ticked for decay twice at once, let alone all of its health. It's likely someone smashed it or coerced an animal to do so.
