first one is in-game about 7x7 square.
second one is huge

The second (bigger) picture is the right one.

The first one is 5x5, the second one is 9x9. I remember the devs increasing the radius for mine supports and underground civilizations everywhere cheering but I don't remember the exact numbers anyway. If you do a quick search, I'm sure you can find it.

You can see the radius when you try to place the support ingame, but once you built it the radius don't aprear anymore.
At least thats how i see it, maybe because i use gilbertus client, but it must be the same with the default client.
SO go to the build menus, click the mine support icone and you will see the green radius around the support you want to build, i even do that to be sure i won't mine further the radisu of an already built support. You can do the same with other construction that have a radius, like the bee hive.
