How do I make a log cabin?

I paved a 5 x 5 area but i still don't have the option of constructing it. do i need to have a saw in hand? if so, how do i get a saw? :s

You must discover boards, blocks, and boughs before you may make a cabin. Since you can't make it without copious amounts of each of these things, it's no real detriment that the option isn't available yet. To make boards to discover, as you noted, you need a saw. Find an animal, preferably a rabbit or chicken, and collect its bones after butchering it. This will unlock the option to make bone saws for you.

okay, thanks.

how do i catch a rabbit though? whenever i try to catch it, it runs away even when i stand right beside it

Leftclick on or very near to the rabbit to get as close as you can.

Then click the highest speed you have (you need run or sprint to catch it)

Then rightclick the rabbit. You need a 2x2 area free in your inventory.

okay so i found a rabbit and my stamina is at 100% but i can't click on the highest speed :/

okay so i found a rabbit and my stamina is at 100% but i can't click on the highest speed :/

On forest terrain I find the highest speed is often unavailable even if I'm at 100%. Running (second highest) will do just fine.

You can't sprint on forest terrain. Run speed is plenty, it's the 3rd option. If you're overweight from being a fatty (Hunger bar is in the Bright Red) then you also can't run or walk. If you can, set your speed to run, left click the rabbit to be on top of him, then right click him.
