Get back outside palisade

My character got killed and the key is on him. How do I get out of my pali with my new character?

You'll need a battering ram, or build your hearthfire next to your palisade and spam alts until you can get outside of the palisade with them then have them recover the key if it hasn't decayed already.

I'm basically screwed only because I have no stone in my palisade... cause I have everything else to make the ram, except no axe :S.

That's why I make the humble gatekeeper alt that has only one purpose in his life: Guard the key and open the gates for the gloryous main character.

Hard to do when you have no access to metal to make a double of the key or have no crossroads to allow yourself not to open it every time.

the gatekeeper keeps the original key. no need for metal or anything. When you want out, log with the keeper, open, relog, get out, log out, close door, relog. It doesn't take that long and you won't need to worry about ur main losing the key.

Or have the gatekeeper on a second account and no need to do all that relogging, just log in, open, alt+tab, get out, alt+tab, close door, logout
