Cartography not working?

I have drawn 2 maps, but when I open them, they display nothing but what looks like an empty peice of parchment.

You've created the map of the local area/regional area but you haven't actually scribed an area onto it yet. Use the cartography skill again and it should scribe the area you're in onto your local map. For regional maps, you need to copy your local maps onto the regional map.

Given that the algerith map just opened up and wasn't even a quarter filled in last I looked, I'd say yes. Also, what about areas that aren't mapped? Lot's to be said about using in-game maps and not submitting your map data.

Also, I was wondering if you could study a map for LP. Haven't gotten one completed yet. I need more inkweed.

sounds like a nice idea, but maps can be copied (ingame) and bot could spam-make maps for lp

Bots can spam make anything. How's that differ from say... a Straw Doll? The character still needs time to study and gain the LP.
