How to steal items from my own corpse on the "boat"?

I was hunting bear, and misclicked, and the bear finished me while I'm on the boat.
So I create new character inherits me and come back, the corpse is on the boat.

But there's no way to get my items back.

I wonder if i destroy the boat, the corpse would be drowned or not.

Is there any way to access my items?
