Caves

Postby JailBaitWes » Thu Mar 24, 2011 3:49 pm

I recently was murdered and spawned in a random location. I've been searching the area and I found a cave with a hearth fire infront of it. I built a little gate around it and i'm currently saving up for yeomanry. What should I be prepared for? Any tips? It was a random cave with just a hearthfire in front of it. Should I expect anything when I go into the cave after setting up a claim?

I for one hope you get murdered. That cave is clearly tagged. Find your own damn cave.

Depends on whether you want to be a griefer or not.

IMO the people abusing a hearthfire to block entrances are closer to a griefer than the people getting rid of them.

Not only that, if the person trying to block the entrance is too damn lazy to put a claim up, they deserve to lose the spot. It shouldn't be any problem to have yeomanry in the first 24-48hs of creating a character with the new LP system.

Also people that are permanently off, basically are not using the cave (since they keep that HF 24/7 on the entrance) and are not even trying to mine inside. I feel it's the same like spawning 23423 alts and HF blocking the highest spots of a soil node. "I wont use them, but you wont either". Totally herpderp IMHO. Our village has established several trades with nearby hearthlings and we are all upset at one near guy that did that to a cave. Some of them were thinking of grabbing rage/vandalism etc just to get him out of there, but we are planning on overriding his spot with village claims if he keeps having that attitude.
