Find my claim stake?

I had a small camp going and a claim stake built. I say it in the past tense because it was attacked and my hearth fire was destroyed. When I logged back in I used the 'last location' button and took a couple tools that were left but didnt think to declaim the stake. I'm still a noob! My claim stake is still out there and I can't find it >.<

I've read through a lot of the forum but cannot find anything relating to this. I know there are ways to track players meaning there are GUI implemented to direct a player in a specific direction, correct? Is there any way this could be used to find my camp? I want to declaim my stake and build elsewhere. I want the LP back mainly as everything else was either destroyed or stolen. If there is a way to declaim the location without actually using the totem that would work too.

map is resetting within a week, why does it matter?

Unfortunately, there is no way to 'track' your claim, as it were. You've pretty much got to find it yourself, or give your in-game name and hope somebody else trips over it. And only you can declaim, I'm pretty sure.

Good point! I will become a rover and try to learn and gain as much LP as possible until the map reset. Still it might not be a bad idea to implement something like claim stake tracking... or even have a teleport option to it as well as the hearth fire. Sorry getting carried away...

Or just a ranged destruction option, even. Being able to de-claim it without touching the post would also help those ghost-claims that happen if the server crashes and the map data isn't saved.

Success! In one final heft of effort I meandered across the wasteland before the coming storm of destruction and found my lost stake. I declaimed it and got back over 4k LP. Huzzah! And only about 45 minutes until total annihilation... Phew!
