Having Trouble Building Well

I have been following this wiki page on how to construct a well. I have all resources and skills that are required to build a well according to that wiki but the option to build a well doesn't appear. In the stone working tab I have access to runestones, but don't runestones and wells require the stone working skill?


On a side note, I've also been unable to lay stone. I have the lay stone option in my landscaping menu, but when I activate it clicking on the ground does nothing. Does laying stone require something special?

To lay stone, you must first plow the ground.

Not sure about the well. Did you use a dowsing rod to find an aquifer?

Wells do require the stoneworking skill - when you say you have all resources, have you physically crafted the Rope and Bucket already? Both of those must have been created by your character for the Well to appear in your Build menu.

I had indeed used a dowsing rod already.

Turns out the bucket was the problem. I found a bucket that some one had dropped in the forest so I didn't take the time to make my own. Now that I've made a bucket the well shows up in my build menu.
