How do I build a Chicken Coop?

I found THIS THREAD here with the same question, but he doesn't explain how he solved it!

In my BUILD menu all I have is [buildings] [carts & cogs] and [government]

in [buildings] there's just [log cabin] and [timber house]

where is the Chicken Coop option?

Have you discovered all the items required (straw, blocks, boards, boughs)?

Crap, I bet that's it. I took the straw from a friend's container 'cos I don't have a wheat farm yet.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Will update this thread once I've got my own straw, in case anyone else has the same problem.
