Help with building gates?

I'm currently trying to build a palisade fence with at least 1 gate but every time i finish i'm not able to go in/out of the gate. I'm following the instructions on wiki:[http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Roundpole_Fence], yep thats a wine rack u see there

thats not a palisade, thats a roundpole fence that wont stop anything

as for a gate, leave 2 open spaces between 2 cornerposts or whatever they are called for a fence. and then youl get the option to build a gate.

I think first of all, you should prolly learn to crop your image and that's not a palisade.

second, I don't see a gate in your fence. see, you got to have 2 OPEN spaces, I can see where it looks like you want the gate to go, but you've filled it in with fence segments. A gate is built between two corner posts. the space between the two posts has to be 2 tiles wide, and clear of obstruction. with a palisade, it has to be paved under, in front, and behind it. the same goes for brick wall posts, the round pole fence you have there, doesn't need the paving though.

I think problem is that when you finish roundpolefence gate, it looks opened, but you cannot go through. Just rightclick close/open it and it will start behave normally again.
