Cave claim, inside or outside ?

Are you asking if you should claim it inside or outside?

I like to say, "Both."

Here's why. If you claim outside and fence it off, it shows people that someone is there and living inside. (Of course, could be a bad thing as it shows your position to raiders.) It also forces people to have trespassing if they want to wander into your cave to look around. If you don't claim outside, people can get in and might even be able to find exactly where your camped at, mine your ore, etc. without having any black skills. You should also stake your claim(s) (and wall) inside in order to prevent anyone from mining into your camp. Several raids last world occurred because some groups would bot mine into a cave system and raid the camps inside and outside of a cave or minehole. This goes for every level that you have build a minehole to.

I'm sure there are a lot more reasons why you should, but those are a few basic ones. It's not that hard to get an alt claimholder up with the new LP system. Drop claims anywhere you don't want someone easily 'stealing' resources you use.
